Overview
A respected Washington, D.C.
-based law firm with a 60+ year legacy is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Leasing Attorney to join its growing leasing practice. This newly created role, driven by strong client demand, offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated leasing matters across retail, office, and mixed‑use developments.
- Draft, negotiate and review commercial lease agreements for retail, office, and mixed‑use projects
- Represent landlords, tenants, or both, depending on the engagement
- Manage matters independently including issue spotting, document preparation and deal execution
- Provide practical, business‑oriented legal guidance aligned with client objectives
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff in a team‑oriented practice environment
- 5+ years of commercial leasing experience
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating leases (landlord and/or tenant)
- Ability to manage matters independently with a client‑first mindset
📍 Based in Washington, D.C. (flexible/hybrid environment; not remote)
