Overview
SAIC is seeking a Network Administrator to join the Machine‑assisted Analytic Rapid‑repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (ADOS) program and provide on‑site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on delivering a comprehensive set of System/Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and modernize MARS. The position is located in the National Capital Region.
Note: Position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/Spring 2026.
Responsibilities- Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, secure network systems critical to MARS.
- Ensure optimal network performance and reliability through proactive monitoring and precise tuning.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of advanced network issues, adhering to strict security protocols.
- Design and enforce comprehensive network security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and intelligence teams on network projects to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide mentorship and expert guidance to junior administrators.
- Remain current with the latest networking technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within MARS.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Certification:
CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CEH, Cloud+, Security
X/CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GSEC, Certified Network Defender (CND). - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 9 years or more relevant experience (additional 4+ years in lieu of degree considered).
- Extensive experience in leading network administration, optimizing network performance, and implementing network security measures.
- Proficiency in managing complex network environments, configuring advanced routing protocols, and ensuring high availability.
- Strong understanding of network segmentation, VPNs, and load balancing.
Target salary range: $120,001 – $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
