Job Responsibilities- Analyze defense budgets and related spending to determine force affordability and defense funding and produce all-source, finished intelligence on global defense economics in support of warfighters, policymakers, and the acquisition community.
- Maintain and update related data in the IC’s authoritative database for worldwide defense spending.
- Conduct research and analysis of foreign economic influence. Analyze economic vulnerabilities to identify leverage points and emerging economic issues and their impact on foreign internal stability.
- Familiarity with a wide range of publicly available economic data.
- Conduct analysis on the effectiveness of sanctions, international sanctions compliance, and a target country’s ability to evade or circumvent sanctions; includes analysis of evasions methods such as digital currencies and alternative financial systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience producing all-source intelligence analysis reports and briefings and input to IC databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and IC Databases.
- Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings.
- Knowledge of macroeconomics and financial markets.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance at the appropriate level.
- 3+ years of experience with economic analysis support in the IC macroeconomics.
- Knowledge of data science principles and databases, including SQL.
- Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. E&M considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function and responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
