Position: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Duties
  • You will plan, develop, and execute budgets for critical logistics programs, including Fleet Support and Test Measure and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • You will serve as a primary SSP point of contact and liaison between program offices and the submarine fleet to ensure their weapon system logistic requirements are met.
  • You will develop, manage, and evaluate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans for major, highly complex weapons systems throughout their entire life cycle.
  • You will conduct comprehensive studies to analyze logistics program effectiveness, resolve complex issues, and develop recommendations for corrective actions and strategic improvements.
  • You will integrate and coordinate separate logistics functions—such as supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance—to provide seamless, cradle-to-grave support for fielded weapons systems.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

    Functional Area

    and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
