About the Position
About the Position: The Digital Manager supports NACo’s digital presence across web, email, social media, and emerging platforms. This role helps execute and optimize digital communications that increase engagement, visibility, and connection with NACo members and stakeholders.
This position is ideal for a hands-on digital professional who enjoys managing daily content, supporting campaigns, tracking performance, and helping deliver consistent, mission-driven storytelling across NACo’s channels. The Manager works closely with communications, policy, membership, and creative teams to ensure digital content is timely, accessible, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation and day-to-day management of NACo’s digital channels, including NACo.org, email communications, social media, and multimedia platforms.
- Manage day-to-day updates to NACo.org, including building and publishing landing pages, uploading content, and maintaining accurate, timely web information using the organization’s CMS.
- Coordinate web publishing workflows to ensure content is accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with NACo’s brand and communications priorities.
- Support ongoing website content organization, including developing and refreshing content, UX, SEO and navigation improvements.
- Manage the production and distribution of NACo’s email newsletters, including drafting, formatting, scheduling, and publishing routine communications.
- Partner with internal teams across communications, policy, membership, and programs to gather newsletter content, plan upcoming sends, and ensure messaging is consistent and audience-focused.
- Track and report on digital performance metrics (engagement, click-through and open rates, reach) to support continuous improvement in digital communications.
- Assist in developing and executing digital strategies that grow audiences and improve content performance.
- Help identify and apply new tools, trends, and digital best practices to improve efficiency, reach and user experience.
- Work with consultants or vendors as needed to support web, email, or social media initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in web site and email management. Social media and paid media tactics a plus.
- Experience supporting digital campaigns and content performance optimization.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics systems (Google Analytics, Sprout, Hub Spot, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SEO and digital content best practices.
- Strong writing, editing, and digital storytelling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining hands-on with daily execution.
This position is eligible for remote and/or hybrid work, with travel for NACo conferences, meetings, and partner engagements.
Salary Range$65,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience
