* Design, administer, and optimize Postgre

SQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases in on-premises and cloud environments.
* Manage Kubernetes clusters and support containerized database and application operations.
* Administer CI/CD pipelines and automation supporting database and application delivery.
* Perform database performance tuning, backups, replication, and recovery.
* Enforce access controls, auditing, governance, and retention policies.
* Manage schemas, indexes, stored procedures, and permissions.
* Develop SQL queries and reporting logic; support Power BI reporting needs.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative delivery activities.
* Support production operations with urgency and operational discipline.
* Communicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
* Build and maintain strong customer trust through technical expertise, responsiveness, and reliability. What you'll need to succeed:
* An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
* 5+ years as a database engineer with significant Postgre

SQL and Microsoft SQL Server experience.
* Kubernetes administration experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning, backups, replication, recovery, and securing databases in regulated environments.
* Experience with Postgre

SQL, SQL Server, Crunchy Data, and pgEdge.
* Required certification: EDB Certified Postgre

SQL Associate or Professional or equivalent expertise.
* Possess a DoD 8140 DCWF Role of 421 - Database Administrator with certifications such as Cloud+, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP.
* An SALARY RANGE: $170,000 - $239,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
* The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
* The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
* Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
* This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of Metro Star, which may include:
* Performance-based bonuses
* Company-paid training and/or certifications
* Referral bonuses
