The Project Coordinator will support day‑to‑day program execution, coordination activities, and compliance tracking while working closely with senior technical and program leadership. This position reports directly to the Deputy Program Manager/Principal Security Engineer and partners closely with the Program Manager in support of the customer.

Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination & Administrative Support
    • Support the Project Manager with day‑to‑day project operations and task tracking.
    • Assist in scheduling recurring meetings, strategy discussions, and team tag‑ups.
    • Maintain project documentation, action items, delivery schedules, and status updates.
    • Help coordinate communication across team members and ensure visibility for relevant stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Documentation Support
    • Provide support on compliance‑driven tasks, as assigned by technical leadership.
    • Assist in documentation related to security frameworks, with exposure to evolving compliance requirements.
    • Help ensure that required compliance activities are properly tracked, documented, and communicated.
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with technical leads and engineers to gather information, document activities, and understand project impacts.
    • Engage with the PM, deputy leadership, and technical SMEs to ensure alignment across operational and compliance efforts.
    • Provide logistical and coordination support to ensure the team remains organized and on schedule.
  • Learning & Growth
    • Develop a foundational understanding of security/compliance concepts as they relate to project operations.
    • Support a fast‑moving team that values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Take on increasing responsibility as you grow into the role and develop technical familiarity.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, project management, IT, or related).
    • 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, compliance support, operations, or related fields.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to track tasks, manage meeting flows, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
    • Interest in learning project management and compliance/security concepts.
    • Comfort working in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.
  • Preferred

    • Familiarity with basic project management tools (e.g., Jira, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).

  • The ideal candidate is:
    • Eager to learn, coachable, and able to absorb new information quickly.
    • Detail‑oriented, organized, and good at keeping others aligned.
    • Professional and communicative, able to work with both technical and non‑technical team members.
    • Dependable, with a strong sense of ownership over administrative and coordination tasks.
    • This is a great position for someone looking to build a career in project management, operations, or technical program support.
Why Join Improvix
  • Opportunity to support a high‑visibility federal mission
  • Direct mentorship from senior technical and program leaders
  • Strong learning environment with exposure to federal compliance and cybersecurity operations
