We are seeking a Managed Security Services Sales Specialist to accelerate growth of our managed services portfolio across the U.S. East. This is a sales + technical overlay role designed to partner closely with our core sales team while also driving incremental net‑new opportunities.
This role is focused exclusively on selling managed security services. You will operate as a technical seller, engaging credibly with security leaders, shaping solutions, and helping move deals faster by complementing account executives with deep domain expertise.
Responsibilities- Drive new managed services revenue by partnering with existing account executives and pursuing net‑new opportunities
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for managed security services, supporting discovery, solution positioning, and customer conversations
- Engage directly with security leaders, and technical stakeholders to understand needs and map services to outcomes
- Accelerate deal velocity by removing technical friction, answering detailed security questions, and reinforcing value
- Position and sell managed services aligned to platforms such as:
- Google Security / Mandiant
- Microsoft Security & Managed Services
- Splunk
- Collaborate closely with pre‑sales, delivery, and services teams to ensure accurate scoping and strong handoff
- Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, and evolving security service models
- Represent managed services strategy internally and externally, helping shape go‑to‑market execution
- 7+ years of experience in technology sales, with a strong understanding of business and operational needs across enterprise and mid‑market organizations
- Proven experience in a technical sales, overlay, or specialist role focused on managed services, particularly managed security services
- Deep familiarity with managed security offerings such as SOC, MDR/MXDR, SIEM, detection and response, and ongoing security operations
- Experience selling and positioning managed, professional, and advisory services across cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and platform operations
- Working knowledge of leading security and technology ecosystems, including Microsoft, Google, Splunk, Crowd Strike, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Zscaler, Arctic Wolf, and similar platforms
- Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with customers at both technical and executive levels, translating complex services into clear business outcomes
- Strong track record of partnering with core account teams to influence, shape, and accelerate complex security deals
- Experience building and maintaining executive‑level client relationships in a consultative, solutions‑selling environment
- Solid understanding of consultative and value‑based sales methodologies, with the ability to guide customers through longer, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles
- Relevant vendor or industry certifications (security, cloud, or managed services) are a plus
