What You’ll Do:- The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. The SAP Basis Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to configuring, patching, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
- Collaborates with the functional and technical resources to resolve system configuration issues.
- Responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems, maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects, and manage the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production as well as analyze, develop, and maintain data architectures and process models within SAP.
- Introduce technical changes into the environment using a best practice approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability, and performance of each SAP instance.
- Perform routine operating system and application reconciliations maintenance.
- Monitor system utilization and performance for capacity planning, and for business continuity.
- Provide technical support and software upgrades for applications.
- Research new technology products and make recommendations to management.
- Design and configure customer-based systems and applications.
- Configure, tune, and maintain databases.
- Coordinate backup and recovery processes for applications and databases.
- Design, implement disaster recovery plans and participate in the routine exercises.
- Assist in troubleshooting application, network, and operating system problems.
- Assist developers, business analysts, architects, and system administrators in troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- Manage developer key requests, and OSS Service Connection Requests.
- Work with the project team on promoting transports and deploying to PROD during releases.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an active DOD security clearance.
- Possess or can achieve Security+ certification or any other certification required for the role.
- 5+ years of Linux experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in SAP application system administration.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager.
- Minimum 1 full SAP life cycle development implementations.
- 2+ years’ experience in Agile software development.
- Experience with SAP Basis support for a large-scale enterprise systems such as: S/4
HANA, PI/PO, BTP, HANA, NWDI, Data Services, Solution Manager, Enable Now. - This is a remote role with travel as required to support the program (Conferences or meetings – expect less than 10%).
- Current or past DoD experience (i.e. AESIP, LMP, GCSS, GFEBs, etc.) is desired.
- Familiarity supporting one or more of the following modules:
Budget, FM, FI, CM, PS, CO, PPS, Payments, MM, SD, PS, SCM, D&S, QM, BTP. - Experience providing database administration for one or more of the following databases:
Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle RAC, Oracle GRID, Super Cluster, and High Availability Disaster Recover. - SAP Basis Certification.
