As a Senior Data Engineer at Expression, you will help design, build, and improve the data platform that enforces quality and governance to provide timely, trustworthy analysis across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly technical, collaborative environment and has a bias for action. They are comfortable taking ownership, elevating their team through clear communication and solid technical judgment, and consistently improve how we build and operate our data systems.

• Build end-to-end data solutions that include ingest, logging, validation, cleaning, transformation, and security.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Design and evolve robust data models and storage patterns that support analytics and efficiency use-cases.
• Treat data as a product: define quality standards and checks, SLAs, and observability to ensure data is accurate and trustworthy.
• Maintain client-facing relationships and lead product demonstrations.
• Contribute to the evolution of Expression’s VOR Data Platform; including tooling, standards, and automation.
• Participate in research, case studies, and prototype development to explore and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including agentic AI solutions.

• Combined 10+ years of experience and education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines, big data platforms or data lake architectures, and Data Visualization/BI tools like Tableau, Power
  
  BI, or Superset.
• Experience with query performance optimization and tuning at scale.
• Knowledgeable in Generative AI tools and technologies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to deliver design documents, technical reports, and presentations to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with cloud-native data solutions leveraging AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL, Elastic Search, Mongo
  
  DB, and graph databases.
• Experience with GenAI enabled daily workflows (coding, testing, analytics).
• Experience leading agile teams, enabling short release cycles and continuous delivery

• Remote with limited travel

• Secret or Top Secret Clearance Required
