Overview
Amyx, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to be located in Washington, DC, for the eDiscovery team that will support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Office of General Counsel (OGC).
The SEC has four primary goals:
1) Detect possible violations of the securities laws and regulations, including fraud;
2) Foster strong compliance and risk management practices;
3) monitor risk; and
4) provide the SEC with implementation of rules and laws. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, and the candidate must demonstrate a strong customer service presence with SEC and Contractor staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for collections and loading phases of discovery matters.
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets related to data intake.
- Communicate status updates, risks, and milestones to legal teams and leadership.
- Coordinate with review teams to ensure data is available on schedule and aligned with review needs.
- Lead and coordinate defensible data collections across custodians, systems, and data sources (email, cloud platforms, file shares, endpoints, mobile devices).
- Work with Legal, IT, HR, and outside vendors to scope, plan and execute collections aligned with legal hold and eDiscovery requirements.
- Manage collections using enterprise tools such as Microsoft Purview, Enterprise Vault, Exchange journaling, One Drive, SharePoint etc.
- Develop and maintain collection protocols, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Track collections status, risks, and exceptions; escalate issues proactively.
- Oversee ingestion, processing, and loading into the Casepoint review platform.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure processing parameters align with case strategy and cost controls.
- Must have the ability to communicate accurate information.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or other field related to work under this requirement.
- Favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.
- 8+ years of PM experience in programs/projects with a $6M budget.
- 8+ years of IT experience.
- 8+ years of litigation and eDiscovery support experience.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery collections tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Enterprise Vault) to collect data and send data to processing/review platforms.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery processing tools to process data for litigation databases in support of various review platforms.
- Ability to conduct quality reviews of data within each database after processing to ensure data integrity and project reconciliation prior to submission to the government.
- Knowledge of quality control workflows and proper eDiscovery processing and preservation techniques.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills to ensure productions are submitted on time in accordance with government timelines.
- Familiarity with customer service level agreements and processing demands to correspond to these agreements.
- Knowledge of data triage and problem solving skills, from reconciling file processing issues to troubleshooting the SEC’s processing and review platforms.
- Knowledge of reporting techniques to submit production and project reports to government leads.
- Strong project logging skills to document task details from receipt of the project to maintain chain of custody and processing attributes.
- Effective communication with the client in email and verbally to escalate problematic productions or issues during processing and upload within SEC environments.
- Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS)
- eDiscovery Review Platform Certification (e.g., Casepoint, RCA, Recommind Axcelerate Processing, Nuix)
- Experience with collections tools like Microsoft Purview, Enterprise Vault, Harvester, SharePoint Collector
- Experience with Casepoint
- Experience with Information Systems
- Prior federal services environment consulting experience
