Location and Schedule

Location:

Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Washington DC - 100% on site
Shift: Core hours 6am - 6pm; 10am - 6pm (M-F);
After hours support - Required (Duty phone will rotate between team members).

Certifications and Security Clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ or CCNP Security certification
  • Active CCNA Certification
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues.
  • Identify issues or problems and resolve as appropriate; escalate when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalate as appropriate.
  • Initiate resolution as appropriate for enterprise level routers and switches.
  • Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by management.
  • Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.
  • Support special projects and day-to-day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
  • Support on-call rotation schedule
Basic Qualifications
  • 9 years' network experience analyzing, identifying, and resolving complex network hardware, circuit, and transmission logic problems.
  • Currently possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ or CCNP Security certification
  • Active CCNA Certification
  • Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with LAN switching, including VLANs, VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.
  • Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.
  • Minimum 8 years' senior level experience with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified and Classified).
  • Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence including management via GEM-X or other DoD management tools.
  • Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures
  • Experienced with DoD network and application security hardening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced with CISCO ISE and CISCO DNA
  • Experienced working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
  • Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR
