This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
* Own conference room VTC readiness by performing scheduled checks, applying updates, validating connectivity, and ensuring seamless meeting experiences.
* Troubleshoot and resolve VTC issues across endpoints, codecs, cameras, microphones, and control systems with rapid, user-focused resolutions.
* Support end users and VIPs with live conference assistance and post-incident follow-ups.
* Coordinate with vendors for installations, escalations, and RMAs while ensuring standards are met.
* Maintain configurations and documentation for rooms, devices, and standards, contributing to runbooks and knowledge bases.
* Continuously improve VTC reliability, monitoring, alerting, and workflows and recommend platform and process enhancements.
* Advise on platform direction and discuss VTC ecosystem trends and options beyond Poly as needs evolve. Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements
* Recent, deep experience with modern Poly equipment within the last five years, including Poly Studio/Studio X Series (X30, X50, X52, X70) and Poly G7500.
* Strong VTC troubleshooting skills covering connectivity, firmware and updates, device pairing, peripherals, call flow, and interoperability.
* Proven experience supporting conference rooms in production environments.
* Customer service mindset with clear, concise communication and ability to operate fully on-site with coverage needs between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
* Poly Certified Video Engineer (preferred).
* Broader VTC ecosystem knowledge such as interop with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, SIP/H.323 concepts, room control systems, and monitoring tools (preferred).
* Legacy exposure to older Poly or Cisco combined with modern platforms (preferred).
* General certifications such as CCNA/CCIE and ITIL Foundation (preferred).
* Approximately 5+ years of recent VTC experience with modern Poly platforms.
