Hourly Rate: $45-$51/hr depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)
The Planet Group's Financial Services client is seeking a hybrid Website Manager to join their team.
The Website Manager role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the company's main website and other external websites under the firm’s umbrella. This individual will be the primary point of contact to support ongoing maintenance of the global website properties, as well as deliver web analytics, and drive tagging strategy and SEO efforts. With oversight from the Marketing team, the individual will:
- Conduct website content updates as needed, including press releases, public website bios, thought leadership content, files, and quarterly business updates.
- Traffic and manage updates, bugs, and optimization requests with development team as needed, handling web updates directly as required.
- Attend daily scrums and regular sprint grooming sessions with Global Technology Solutions (GTS) partners.
- Manage the prioritization of requests in the queue and maintain backlog with development team, based on business deadlines and LOE of tasks.
- Perform UAT/testing, approve tasks for go-live, and report feedback to development team.
- Build and deliver web analytic reports and dashboard via Google Analytics.
- Monitor, refine, and implement UTM strategy across digital properties.
- Monitor, refine, and oversee email marketing contacts in third party platform.
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Team on email marketing processes and governance.
- Monitor, refine, and implement SEO strategy.
- Manage updates to global public websites where content is not in English.
- Coordinate releases elevating to production as needed, and support with smoke testing.
- Provide front-line support for management of all global website properties.
The individual will work closely with members of:
Marketing, Corporate Communications, Global Technology Solutions, and Investor Relations teams. The candidate will also work with other creative or editorial agency partners on projects.
The ideal candidate will complement the reactive, tactical responsibilities of this role with a proactive, owners’ mindset to identify and improve opportunities across our websites, particularly in the areas of SEO, tagging, and analytics.
Website ManagerPrimary Responsibilities:
- Web Management (20 hrs/week)
- Work closely with Marketing team to update content on global website properties on a weekly basis, including bios, press releases, and other website content.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on how best maintain and manage website properties for optimal user experience and search results.
- Offer guidance on how to improve overall website experience to maximize performance.
- Web Development & Optimizations (12 hrs/week)
- Work in collaboration with creative partners to develop updates and optimizations to website based on business needs and priorities.
- Prepare for and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing, noting any discrepancies between expected and actual solution behavior.
- Organize smoke testing after deployment to Production and log any defects to the platform backlog.
- Email Marketing (4 hrs/week)
- Work in collaboration with team members and business partners to oversee and provide governance around email marketing platform.
- Develop cohesive tagging system for email contacts, as well as maintain email distribution lists.
- Collaborate with business partners in Investor Relations to coordinate contacts across email systems.
- Analytics & SEO (4 hrs/week)
- Use both Google Analytics and Power BI to help monitor and report on metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain the team’s analytics dashboard and send monthly web performance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Improve SEO results for digital properties; make recommendations and implement as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience using CMS platforms, preferably Drupal.
- Extensive experience with Google Analytics.
- Proficient with JIRA & Confluence.
- Proficient in SEO.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experienced in sprint planning and light web development (HTML proficient).
- Exceptional organization skills: detail-oriented, efficient, and diligent.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong communication and prioritization skills.
- Able to work across multiple teams throughout the day.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-moving environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
