Overview
The Agile Project Manager (APM) delivers business outcomes by combining facilitative Agile leadership with project management discipline. The APM orchestrates planning and execution across cross-functional teams, ensures value delivery and transparency, manages risks and dependencies, and elevates team performance through coaching and continuous improvement. They balance iterative, adaptive delivery with right-sized scope, predictable cadence, and effective stakeholder communication and governance.
Responsibilities- Facilitate release activities to include documentation, release call facilitation, approval tracking, dependency management, etc.
- Own application-specific roadmaps; review with Product Owners and stakeholders at least once per PI.
- Create delivery plans that right-size scope to the cadence (target: 90%+ of Epics fit within 1–2 sprints).
- Ensure backlog hygiene; track target dates for Epics/Initiatives; partner with POs to refine and prioritize work.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and run SAFe Value-Stream Mapping and Problem-Solving workshops.
- Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and impediments; maintain visible risk/issue logs.
- Strengthen technical acumen; include technical leads in Scrum of Scrums; attend architecture forums.
- Improve release readiness: test coverage awareness, defect trends, rollout discipline.
- Maintain clear status reporting; tailor messaging for audience; balance transparency with discretion.
- Promote collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Agile certifications (CSM or A-CSM required; SAFe and PMI-ACP preferred).
- 5+ years Agile delivery experience; 2+ years in project management roles.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Must be US citizen.
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Proficiency with Agile and PM tools (Jira, Rally, Confluence).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
