What You’ll DoAt Docusign, we are seeking an experienced Senior Counsel, Product & Partnership Transactions. This isn’t your typical in‑house role; it requires a skilled attorney who can craft innovative legal solutions at the intersection of emerging technology and innovation. The role is pivotal in shaping our partnership strategies, focusing on complex integrations with resellers, Systems Integrators (SIs), and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Responsibilities- Drive, draft, and negotiate complex global technical agreements, including partnership agreements, platform integration agreements, identity‑related integrations, key tech vendor transactions, ISV/OEM, and reseller agreements
- Work cross‑functionally to define and develop global partner and channel programs, creating and maintaining related corporate policies, procedures, legal templates, and training materials
- Act as a critical liaison, effectively connecting the dots between partnership teams, product/engineering, and other legal subject matter experts (e.g., privacy, regulatory, IP)
- Assist in supporting the innovation and integration of AI technology into Docusign’s platform to deliver enhanced solutions
- Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.
- Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job.
- J.D. Degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant technology transactional experience
- Global transactional background, with experience in negotiating, drafting, and advising business stakeholders on technology‑related integrations, licensing, and multi‑jurisdictional transactions
- Experience with business partnerships and licensing agreements
- Proven ability to provide practical, technically‑driven advice and effectively balance legal risks with strategic business goals
- Demonstrated ability to address complex problems and business needs
- Ability to build strong relationships and trust quickly and interact with all levels of the business with ease
- Demonstrated teaming ability to work well with, influence, and inform diverse groups, including peers and clients
- Great judgment, attention to detail, and interpersonal/communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for business stakeholders
- Strong understanding of data usage, privacy, and data security, particularly with SaaS products
- General understanding of cloud and software industries, including the SaaS model and modern technology stacks
- Experience in a global technology organization
- Strong commercial experience with channels and partners
- A proactive and self‑driven work ethic and the highest level of integrity and business ethics
- Dedicated to providing top‑notch customer service

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the following pay ranges apply:
- California: $ – $ base salary
- Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $ – $ base salary
- Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $ – $ base salary
- Washington DC: $ – $ base salary
- Ohio: $ – $ base salary
This role is also eligible for:
- Bonus: variable incentive pay for sales personnel dependent on achievement of pre‑established sales goals. Non‑Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan based on company performance.
