Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager is a strategic leader within the IT PMO, responsible for driving complex technology projects and establishing gold-standard delivery practices. This role ensures excellence in project execution, demand management, resource planning, and reporting, while fostering trusted partnerships across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
  • Communicate complex information effectively to influence senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems, develop recommendations, and adapt project approaches.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder alignment across IT and business units.
  • Conduct postmortems and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Champion PMO standards and mentor junior team members.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data.
Qualifications Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance).
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP certifications preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years in IT project management, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proven success in end-to end project execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with vendor negotiation and contract management.
Technical Knowledge
  • IT systems architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Familiarity with legal cloud solutions and hybrid IT environments.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks.
