Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst

Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst

This role will support the International Trade and Regulatory Compliance group by providing insightful analytical and business intelligence products that transform information into actionable intelligence, to advise and inform client decision-making.

• Lead due diligence and supply chain investigations, deploying expertise on using proprietary databases, investigative methodology and strategies
• Conduct research and draft business risk analysis, forming conclusions and recommendations
• Identify and assess risk issues of interest to clients and firm
• Track assigned issues as subject matter expert, monitoring news, compiling news and analysis summaries, attending policy discussions and congressional hearings, producing client alerts when appropriate
• Identify and draft thought leadership articles for publication on emerging risks
• Review and provide guidance to junior analysts on research methodologies for due diligence investigation
• Interact with clients to assess needs and provide support
• Advise line manager on opportunities for innovation, new work products and operational efficiencies
• Promote cross selling opportunities through outreach to Steptoe's attorneys, increasing awareness of the unique, inhouse capabilities of the analytics team

• Complete other duties may be assigned

• Proficiency in one or more foreign languages desired

• Available to work in the office 9:00 - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
• Hybrid work arrangements may be available for this position.
• Non-Smoking environment.
• Available to work beyond regular hours when necessary.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
