Our client is looking to hire an AV Technician. This person will provide on‑site technical assistance and audiovisual support during conferences and lectures, executive meetings and other events for all locations supported by the department.
Responsibilities- Provides on‑site technical assistance and audiovisual support during conferences, lectures, executive meetings, and other events.
- Operates AV equipment and coordinates technical aspects of video teleconferences, web‑based videoconferencing, live streaming lectures, including audio/video switchers and control panels.
- Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, trainings, telehealth sessions, town halls, and special events.
- Supports video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex) and ensures seamless connectivity.
- Configures microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, cameras, and control systems.
- Diagnoses and resolves AV issues quickly to minimize disruption to clinical and administrative operations.
- Performs routine maintenance, firmware updates, and equipment inspections.
- Documents issues, resolutions and equipment performance.
- Provides on‑site and remote support to clinicians, executives, educators, and staff.
- Trains end users on AV tools, room systems, and conferencing platforms.
- Delivers excellent customer service in fast‑paced healthcare environments.
- 3+ years supporting AV systems in corporate, healthcare, education, or similar environments.
- Strong communication skills and time management.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining industry standard control systems: HP Poly (must), Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, and Cisco Systems.
- Strong knowledge of projectors, displays, audio systems, video conferencing platforms, and control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and communicate clearly with non‑technical users.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or similar certification is a bonus.
- Ability to fix/repair AV equipment is a bonus.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $24.00/hr.
