Overview of Position

The Forensic Project Analyst oversees the planning, scheduling, and delivery of forensic projects, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can work within a team environment as well as independently as the situation requires. This role bridges forensic expertise with eDiscovery project management discipline, coordinating resources and client communication throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Project Leadership Requirements
  • Work closely with all other departments to complete complex projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for forensic projects with clients, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent forensic engagements, including scoping, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Personally provide or schedule consultation with case teams for forensic workflows.
  • Use industry standard processes to facilitate data collections at the direction of the client.
  • Understanding and experience in working with both traditional data sources such as email and modern data sources such as cloud storage providers, mobile devices, and short message data.
Technical Coordination Requirements
  • Collaborate with forensic analysts on data collections (onsite, remote, and cloud) and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to chain of custody and evidence handling best practices.
  • Validate forensic tool usage and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Workflow Requirements
  • Develop and maintain project plans, escalation paths, and communication protocols for forensic team.
  • Document forensic processes for defensibility and transparency; prepare client‑facing reports.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks (project deadlines, data loss, downtime, compatibility issues) and assist leadership implement mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee quality control checks before client delivery.
  • Provide guidance on forensic workflows and assist in SOP development.
Communication Enablement
  • Coordinate scheduling and pre‑sales support, project initiation meetings, clarify roles of forensic team members, and set expectations for collaboration.
  • Maintain forensic team schedule and continuously coordinate team members to support forensic involvement on projects cross‑departmentally.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in forensic data collection with proficiency utilizing forensic tools (Axiom, EnCase, Cellebrite, FTK Imager).
  • 3+ years’ experience with project management; PMP or similar certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively & tactfully both verbally and in written format to all relevant technical & non‑technical stakeholders including attorneys, client support staff, and internal team members.
  • General knowledge of litigation lifecycle or experience managing litigations.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and the Office product suite.
  • Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in time‑sensitive situations and prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines.
  • Knowledge of litigation support industry including evolution of product offerings and changing dynamics/expectations.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to ensure client deadlines are met.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly on short notice; must have valid passport for occasional international travel.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM).
  • Possess at least one industry standard certification (EnCE, CCE, CCFE, GCFE, GCFA, CCO, CCPA, CCME, etc.).
  • Experience working with structured data exported from various platforms including analysis, custom scripting, and data manipulation to develop reports for client use.
  • Understanding of (Robo/Rich) copy tools, BAT (Power Shell) scripting, and Active Directory.
