Job Overview
Zantech, a Woman Owned Small Business, is seeking a Data & AI Architect to contribute to the success of an upcoming Enterprise Business Transformation project in a hybrid role based out of the Washington DC Metro area. The role involves designing cloud data lake architecture, AI inference models, and proof‑of‑concepts using 20 years of grants data while ensuring alignment with Federal Data & AI Strategy, trustworthy AI principles, FedRAMP, and FISMA Moderate requirements.
Responsibilities- HHS Grants Data Model & AI Inference Architecture (PRIMARY)
- One Grants Cloud Support
- Current State Assessment (data perspective)
- 8+ years data architecture
- 5+ years AI/ML architecture
- 3+ years cloud data platforms (AWS data services)
- Data lake/lakehouse architecture – S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation
- AI/ML architecture – Sage Maker, inference endpoints, LLMs
- Data modeling – dimensional, semantic layers, ontologies
- Data governance, quality, lineage
- AI ethics and responsible AI frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics
- Master’s degree or PhD in a specialized domain
- AWS ML Specialty or Data Analytics Specialty preferred
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
