Position: Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator to join a federal technology and services firm supporting civilian agencies across secure IT, cyber, and mission-critical programs, located in Washington D.C. for a flexible, remote role. The Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Microsoft Purview applications, with a focus on setting up and maintaining user accounts, ensuring system enhancements, and supporting the Microsoft 365 environment in a highly secure, classified environment.

Responsibilities of the Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator :
* Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies, including data classification, labeling, and DLP policies. Monitor and optimize these policies to align with regulatory requirements.
* Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services. Administer and manage role groups, custom roles, and permissions within the Purview portal.
* Mitigate risks by protecting sensitive data from internal and external threats. Implement information protection and insider risk management solutions. Respond to data protection incidents and participate in security investigations.
* Manage and support eDiscovery workflows, which includes data collection, search, and export for legal and compliance teams.
* Collaborate with data architects, analysts, IT, security teams, and business application owners to implement solutions and enforce governance best practices. Provide training and support to users on data protection tools and policies. Qualifications for the Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator:
* Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of progressive IT experience OR an Associate's Degree with 7+ years OR 9+ years of IT experience.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview administration and p roficiency with Microsoft 365 environments and related services like Microsoft Entra .
* Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles.
* Experience with data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and sensitivity labeling.
* Experience with risk assessments, audits, and the ability to develop and implement security and compliance policies.
* US Citizenship and must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
* Desired Skills :
* Familiarity with scripting languages like Power Shell.

* Experience with Treasury or IRS systems. Compensation for the Jr. Microsoft Purview Administrator:
* Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
