Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support mission‑critical programs in the Washington, DC area. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms that will tackle the world’s most critical challenges.

You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and mission stakeholders to turn complex datasets into reliable, actionable intelligence.

• Partner with mission‑focused customers to design and deliver secure, scalable AWS‑based data lakehouse solutions.
• Deploy containerized services on Kubernetes (EKS) using Terraform or Cloud Formation for repeatable environments.
• Integrate data from APIs, message buses, and relational databases to enable real‑time analytics.
• Build and operate production ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Airflow, Spark, and SQL at petabyte scale.
• Contribute across the full SDLC, from design through secure deployment.
• Implement monitoring and observability to meet SLAs and support mission‑critical production systems.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
• 4+ years of data engineering experience with Python.
• Prior experience working client facing
• Hands‑on experience with AWS
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required (polygraph strongly preferred)
