About the Role
The HR Generalist will assist with multiple HR projects currently underway. This is a hands‑on role requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a mission‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily HR operations, with emphasis on benefits and payroll‑related tasks.
- Train employees and managers on the updated performance review framework and related tools.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR platforms.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and HR procedures.
- Assist with recruitment activities such as job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding support as needed.
- Help coordinate HR trainings, engagement initiatives, and performance review cycles.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support ongoing HR projects and improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of core HR functions, including benefits and payroll administration.
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR support role (nonprofit experience a plus).
- Experience with HRIS or performance management tools
- Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
