LHH is partnering with a non-profit organization in the DC area seeking a temporary Senior HR Generalist to provide hands-on support across core HR operations during a period of transition. This role will support day-to-day HR functions while assisting with several key initiatives, including performance management, HR systems support, and employee engagement efforts. The anticipated duration of this assignment is 8–12 weeks, with the potential to extend.

35 hours/week
Work Model:
Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
Pay Rate: $30–$37/hour
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Employee Support
- Support day-to-day HR operations during leadership hiring and organizational transition
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll coordination, and general HR questions
- Partner closely with Accounting on payroll-related items
- Support employee relations processes and documentation within ADP
- Assist with reference checks, interview scheduling, and onboarding support as needed
- Support the implementation of the annual performance review process
- Assist with HR system implementations and enhancements, including Cornerstone
- Support the rollout of an employee recognition program
- Help maintain HR dashboards, reporting, and documentation
- Assist with the migration of HR files to Share Point
- Provide flexible support across HR functions as business needs evolve
- Identify process improvements and support HR best practices
- Assist with compliance-related and administrative HR tasks as needed
ADP, Cornerstone, Greenhouse, Microsoft Office Suite, PDFs, Share Point
Qualifications & Experience- 3–5+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist role
- Strong foundation in HR operations and administration
- Exposure to HR projects or system implementations preferred
- Experience supporting performance management processes strongly preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service and employee-focused mindset
- Empathetic, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse personalities
