Attorney Recruiting Coordinator – Arnold & Porter, Washington, DC.
Join our Talent Department to coordinate attorney recruiting and manage the summer associate program.
- Assist the Attorney Recruiting Manager in planning the summer associate program (event coordination, arrival/departure dates, assignment evaluation).
- Facilitate end‑of‑summer exit processes.
- Partner with career services and faculty to promote the firm on campus, schedule career development meetings, and engage former summer associates.
- Implement overall recruiting strategy with the attorney recruiting team and National Hiring Committee.
- Support the callback interview process and on‑campus interview scheduling, preparation, and feedback.
- Coordinate offer dinners, receptions, and campus outreach events.
- Prepare and maintain recruitment reports and statistics.
- Assist hiring and integration of judicial clerks, entry‑level, lateral associates, and staff attorneys.
- Support lateral associate interview process, posting of open positions, applicant file maintenance, and pre‑employment processes.
- Act as a liaison for new employees across firm departments.
- Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of attorney recruiting experience in a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of vi Desktop is a plus.
- Familiarity with recruitment principles in a professional services or law firm context.
- Understanding of lawful recruiting regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- High trustworthiness with confidential information.
- Strategic focus and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication; exceptional client service internally and externally.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Reliability, dependability, and motivation.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
