Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR leadership and support across multiple locations within the region
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for union labor relations, including contract interpretation, grievance handling, and negotiations support
  • Partner with operations leaders to ensure consistent application of labor agreements and company policies
  • Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and labor laws
  • Support talent management initiatives including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention
  • Lead change management and workforce planning initiatives
  • Train managers on HR best practices, labor relations, and compliance requirements
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve workforce effectiveness
  • Travel extensively (up to 75%) to support field locations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including regional or multi-site responsibility
  • Extensive, hands‑on experience working in unionized environments required
  • Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, and labor law
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and manage complex employee relations matters
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field‑based role with frequent travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, transportation, construction, or similar labor‑intensive industries
