We are seeking a highly skilled HR Specialist (Pay/PAR) to support federal HR operations through precise payroll processing, personnel action review, and employee benefits support.
What You’ll DoAs an HR Specialist (Pay/PAR), you’ll serve as a front-line resource for payroll and benefits-related questions, while supporting accurate processing through NFC and OPM systems. You’ll work closely with HR leadership and employees to resolve technical issues, ensure accurate data entry, and guide process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required, no substitutions)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in federal human resources
- Hands-on experience with NFC systems, eOPF, and federal personnel action processing
- Familiarity with federal benefits programs (TSP, FEGLI, health plans, etc.)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and secure document management
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and written communication
- Experience using HR technology platforms such as Service Now
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion and professionalism
- Experience supporting DOJ, OJP, or other federal HR organizations
- Familiarity with Avue, HR Connect, or USA Staffing
- Experience working with T&A systems or troubleshooting pay-impacting issues
- Federal HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)
- Proven success in improving HR processes or implementing SOPs
