The Sr. Manager, Talent is a strategic talent acquisition leader, individual contributor, and key partner to the Vice President of HR. This role leads full‑cycle recruitment and supports talent management, workforce planning, learning and development, and broader HR initiatives. The Sr. Manager manages performance processes, facilitates employee development programs, and contributes to HR projects and operational priorities in partnership with the VP of HR and the HR team.

The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, analytical HR practitioner who can shift seamlessly between talent acquisition, talent development, and enterprise‑wide HR initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for positions across the organization.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and define role requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiters, job boards, and recruitment vendors.
  • Oversee the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and continuously improve hiring processes.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical roles.
  • Manage recruiting and provide support for the summer internship program.
  • Build credibility and trust across the organization across key areas of responsibility.
Talent Management & Development
  • Partner with VP, HR on annual performance review process, including goal setting, new hire reviews, and mid-year check ins.
  • Support identification of high potential employees and development planning.
  • Facilitate employee development initiatives and training programs.
  • Recommend and support strategies to retain top talent.
Workforce Planning Support
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and headcount management.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business operations, goals, and challenges.
  • Support change management initiatives and organizational restructuring efforts.
  • Review job descriptions, job analyses, and classifications to help ensure that levels are consistent.
HR Project and Program Support
  • Assist with researching, developing, and updating HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support effective communication of policy changes to employees and leadership.
  • Conduct policy training and ensure consistent implementation across the company.
  • Effectively lead ad‑hoc projects as assigned. This role will be expected to take on and support HR projects.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with expertise in multiple HR disciplines
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading full cycle recruiting and supporting performance management and talent management
  • Experience leading and managing multiple HR projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with multistate hiring practices and compliance, especially in hybrid and remote environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.
