About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Food & Beverage who views hospitality as an art form. In this role, you will do more than manage operations; you will nurture the legacy of a prestigious Washington, DC club. This role is for a leader who finds as much joy in the perfect pour of a vintage wine as they do in the strategic growth of a team.
Here, you will pair high-concept dining with the genuine, bespoke service our UHNW members expect, ensuring every engagement at the club is exquisite.
The Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of the club’s F&B operations, including fine dining, casual venues, special events, and private catering, with a focus on delivering world-class service, flawless execution, and culinary excellence. This role will require experience with elite UHNW clientele.
Principal (Essential) Duties- Develop and execute a long‑term F&B strategy that aligns with the club’s brand, member expectations, and luxury positioning.
- Uphold and continuously refine the service culture, ensuring an elevated and personalized experience at every touchpoint.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team including restaurant managers, sommeliers, chefs, and service staff.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to curate seasonal menus that reflect excellence, creativity, and quality.
- Oversee all daily F&B operations, including fine dining, lounges, bar service, and banquets.
- Ensure seamless coordination between front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams.
- Implement and enforce rigorous standards of service, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Foster personal relationships with members, learning preferences and anticipating needs to provide highly tailored service.
- Handle member inquiries and concerns with discretion, professionalism, and responsiveness.
- Work closely with the Events Director and culinary team to create exceptional private dining and club‑wide event experiences.
- Oversee execution of VIP events with utmost discretion, attention to detail, and refinement.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, prior experience working with UHNW clientele is required.
- Proven track record managing high‑volume, high‑end F&B operations while delivering bespoke service required.
- Deep understanding of culinary trends, wine and beverage programs, and service protocols suitable for UHNW clients.
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control within a luxury environment.
- A degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field highly preferred.
The base salary pay range for this role is $155,000-$185,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications, in addition to a generous full‑suite benefits package offering.
