Driver; ElderPlus PACE

Overview

The Hopkins Elder Plus Driver is responsible for transporting patient(s) to and from JHBMC campus (or other site as assigned). Provides specialized through-the-door transportation for adult day care participants who may be mentally or physically impaired. Adheres to safety procedures for passengers and vehicle; documents usage and vehicle condition; follows proper vehicle maintenance procedures; documents patients transported and assists in planning daily van routes for patient pick-up and drop-off.

Maintains the van in good condition.

• Transport patients to and from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and other assigned sites, with attention to safety and accessibility needs.
• Provide through-the-door transportation for adult day care participants as required.
• Document vehicle usage, passenger information, and vehicle condition; assist in planning daily van routes for patient pick-up and drop-off.
• Maintain the van in good condition and report any issues.

Hours:

Full time (40 hours), Day Shift;
Weekend work may be required.

Location:

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD 21224.

Pay Rate: $25.22 per hour

• High school level of educational development.
• 1 year of experience working with the elderly/frail population preferred.
• First Aid and CPR Certifications.
• Valid Maryland Driver’s License with no more than 2 points required upon hire or transfer; verified by a certified copy of driving record. After employment, no more than 3 points allowed.

Salary Range:
Minimum $25.22/hour - Maximum $25.22/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
