MRI Technologist is responsible for performing imaging studies specific to modalities including Ultrasound, Mammography, Special Procedures, CT, and MRI. Technologists must be proficient in all areas of general diagnostic radiology and specifically adept in MRI scanning specifications. This role includes work in both in-patient and outpatient settings. The MRI Technologist ensures implants and metallic objects are evaluated for MRI safety and has experience determining safe operation of pacemakers and suitable magnetic field exposure.
The position requires use of proper MRI pre-screening forms and other necessary documents to carry out safe patient examinations. A thorough understanding of IV types used in MRI and appropriate IV contrast injection techniques per ACR guidelines is required. POC (Point of Care) testing may be performed as needed to determine creatinine. Preferred experience includes Cardiac, Breast and Functional MRI scanning, with proficiency in Neuro, Body and MSK scanning.
Equipment familiarity includes 5T GE and Siemens systems.

- Minimum - Graduate of accredited school of radiography
- ARRT Required; MRI certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years as a diagnostic technologist and/or MRI technologist in a hospital environment
