Overview
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years. The hospital integrates clinical care with community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), The George Washington University Hospital, and an Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility offers 136 beds ( expandable to 184 ), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite parking, and a helipad for emergency transport.

The Sr Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for facilitating an efficient, professional, and effective registration process through the collection of demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration. This information supports appropriate reimbursement and statistical analysis. The role requires maintaining complete and accurate accounts to ensure database integrity and timely claims processing, and providing support to an organizational culture that delivers the highest standards of service excellence to all customer groups.
The position also involves performing registration tasks that contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Education/Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 2-5 years of problem-solving experience in a customer service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance) or Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of problem-solving experience in a customer service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance)
Skills
- Computer/keyboard skills required
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
