Overview
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. The District of Columbia Stabilization Center (DCSC), operated by CBI, will offer 24/7 access to Crisis SUD services for individuals 18 years and older, regardless of gender, insurance, or citizenship status.

The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) I or II will provide counseling services to patients with substance use problems within the scope of their certification. The CAC will assess and analyze emotional conditions, explore possible solutions, and work within a treatment plan for mental and emotional adjustment or development. The CAC will teach clients skills to cope with addiction and provide treatment to people with mental, emotional, or substance use disorders.
The CAC will perform duties consistent with their licensure and agency certifications.
- Provide counseling services to patients with substance use problems within the scope of CAC certification.
- Assess and analyze emotional conditions; develop and implement treatment plans.
- Teach clients coping skills and strategies to manage addiction and related mental health or emotional needs.
- Complete duties consistent with licensure and agency certifications.
- Must possess an Associate degree, from an accredited school in a health or human services field (e.g., nursing, aging studies, criminal justice, health education, mental health);
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. - Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
- Must have 2-3 years of experience providing substance use services in a healthcare setting.
- Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
- Bilingual candidates highly preferred.
- Valid identification required.
- Must possess a valid CAC I or CAC II certification from the DC Department of Health or another endorsed U.S. jurisdiction.

Hourly Rate: $25.00/hr – $33.30/hr.
