  • Develop and communicate documents influencing health care policies adopted by federal agencies.
  • Manage relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.
  • Brief stakeholders, AMA leadership, and advocacy colleagues on priorities for federal advocacy.
  • May include other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Undergraduate degree required; law degree or master’s degree in public health, business, or political science preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with a member of Congress, federal agencies, consulting/law firms, national health‑care organizations, or national medical specialty societies on federal government health issues.
  • Expertise regarding Medicare Advantage legislation and regulation required; keen understanding of Medicare Advantage issues.
  • Demonstrated record of strong teamwork and collaborative skillset, particularly in strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Salary range: $150,348–$203,082. This is an exempt position.
