The Activities Assistant communicates effectively with the Director of Activities and fellow team members. The Activities Assistant demonstrates proficiency in various devices, including iPhones, Androids, and tablets. Guide residents in connecting to Wi‑Fi, setting up printers, and utilizing electronic home entertainment devices such as Alexa, smart TVs, and Google Home. Teach the use of communication tools, including email, word processing, Zoom, video chats, tablets, and iPads.

Travel:- Occasional travel may be required for off‑site resident outings and community events.
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or completion of at least two years of college coursework is preferred.
- Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, use of equipment and Hospital and departmental policies necessary for job performance.
- Develop and implement person‑centered programs, fostering engagement and independence. Familiarity with recreational therapy practices is advantageous.
- Create and manage weekly and monthly activity programs that are engaging and promote independence.
- Evaluate therapeutic programs to ensure they reflect residents' backgrounds, participation, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity, and related skills.
- Provide one‑to‑one activities for residents uncomfortable participating in group activities.
- Supervise volunteers for in‑house activities and community outings.
- Strong empathy and compassion for elderly residents.
- Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with team members.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Tech‑savvy with experience in smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, and home entertainment devices.

Salary Range: Minimum 24.00/hour - Maximum 24.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
