Base pay range: $80,000 – $85,000 per year.
Location:
Washington, DC – Hybrid.

We are one of DC’s largest providers of housing, homelessness prevention and health services. Our treatment centers include Conway Health and Resource Center (Southwest DC) and Family Health and Birth Center (Northeast DC).

- Consult and guide around substance use disorders and co‑occurring disorders, staying up to date on best practices and community resources.
- Provide professional addiction counseling and psychotherapy, including diagnostic assessment and treatment planning.
- Interview, evaluate, and assign diagnoses to new clients with complex alcohol or drug abuse problems.
- Complete required screening tools and monitor symptoms regularly; develop treatment plans by specified sessions.
- Monitor client progress, reevaluate and adapt treatment plans at intervals; update at least every three months.
- Provide crisis intervention per clinician licensing and COH guidelines, including addressing suicidal/homicidal ideation.
- Coordinate addiction recovery, treatment planning, and reporting pursuant to program guidelines.
- Adhere to COH clinical protocols; contact relevant agencies (CFS/APS/911) as needed.
- Help address related issues such as housing and vocational rehabilitation; coordinate with staff and community providers.
- Document all materials in the electronic record and upload required documentation.
- LICSW or LPC required; experience treating persons with addictive disorders.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Ability to travel between sites.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment principles, counseling techniques, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning.
- Experience facilitating SUD group therapy, co‑occurring group therapy, and psycho‑education groups.
- Ability to accurately complete assessment and diagnostic forms.
- Ability to intervene in crisis or hostile situations.
- Sensitivity to diverse cultural, ethnic, and sexual orientation issues.
- Experience in a community health center setting.
- Knowledge of community resources or willingness to learn.
- Availability for evening or weekend hours as needed.
