Angiography Technologist – Med Star Health

Med Star Health is looking for an Angiography Technologist to join our team at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital. We are offering a limited‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus. As an Angiography Technologist, you will perform neuro and vascular interventional examinations in accordance with established protocols, as directed by the attending radiologist. All work will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Med Star Georgetown’s policies and procedures.

• Adheres to policies and procedures in obtaining radiographic studies, prepares exam rooms, ensures all equipment and supplies are available, and performs imaging sequences with correct exposure techniques, interimage delays, contrast flow rates, and patient identifiers.
• Assists in coordinating patient flow for the IR lab, collaborates with the board runner to maximize productivity, and helps ensure efficient room turnover.
• Communicates with and collaborates with patient financial associates to register exams, minimize delays, and ensure billing accuracy. Tracks and scours exams through RIS, ERS, and EMR systems.
• Provides basic information to patients and families about procedures, answers questions, and maintains interventional radiology equipment per safety requirements.
• Cleans equipment and work area, wipes down equipment between cases, stocks supplies, and assists the technical supervisor with policy development, in‑service programs, and continuing education.

• Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Associate of Science in Radiologic Science; must demonstrate competency in didactic coursework and ARRT‑specified clinical procedures.
• A minimum of six months hands‑on training and prior clinical experience.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Cardiac Interventional Certification in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiac‑Interventional (CI), or CVT within 18 months of hire.
• Current experience in interventional angiography preferred.

USD $35.68 – $64.71 per hour.
