Overview
N Street Village is seeking a compassionate and strategic Director of Health and Wellbeing to lead our health and wellness initiatives for unhoused women. This pivotal role oversees the development, implementation, and management of programs that address physical and emotional health, nutrition, and vocational support.
The Director will supervise operations across our Food Services Program, Wellness Center, MARJ & MAK Vocational Center (MMVC), and Bethany Day Center, working closely with the Chief Program Officer and managing a team of three managers and one coordinator.
Key Responsibilities Program Development & Management- Design and manage trauma-informed, person-centered health and wellbeing programs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate access to medical, dental, and nutritional services.
- Build partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations.
- Develop policies and procedures aligned with best practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Provide ongoing professional development and facilitate team meetings.
- Lead in-service training across program areas.
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Oversee client engagement and ensure timely documentation.
- Advocate for client access to healthcare and support services.
- Facilitate health education workshops and support groups.
- Manage program budgets and monitor expenses.
- Maintain accurate records and develop evaluation tools.
- Analyze data to inform program improvements.
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community events and forums.
- Conduct outreach to raise awareness of health needs among unhoused women.
- Monitor program spending and collaborate with Finance on annual budgeting.
- Ensure fiscal accountability and strategic resource allocation.
- Model and reinforce the mission, vision, and values of N Street Village.
- Participate in performance improvement and advocacy efforts.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and IT security standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, or Public Health.
- LGSW or LICSW preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in health services management, ideally in homeless services or community health.
- Experience with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health or substance use concerns.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
