Work Hours: Monday–Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Education:
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. - Certificates:
Active ARDMS certification. Current compliance with CME requirements. - Professional
Experience:
Breast ultrasound and diagnostic procedure experience preferred.
- Produce high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique.
- Communicate with the radiologist and perform any necessary additional exams as needed.
- Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
- Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
- Provide appropriate monitoring during all phases of the procedure with attention to patient emotional and physical well-being.
- Assist and/or chaperone radiologists when they are performing ultrasound exams.
- Assist radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using sterile technique and universal precautions.
- Communicate patient information professionally to patients and referring offices as required.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensure proper equipment maintenance and safety.
- Maintain a good working relationship with radiologists and other center staff members.

- Hourly rate: $39.00 to $49.00, commensurate with experience
