This is a full-time, on-site role as a Nurse Specialist of Education located in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. The Nurse Specialist of Education will be responsible for designing and conducting educational programs for healthcare staff, patients, and the community. Other responsibilities include assessing training needs, developing teaching materials, monitoring the effectiveness of educational initiatives, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize health outcomes and address public health concerns.
- Strong clinical nursing knowledge and skills, with experience in patient care and healthcare systems management.
- Proficiency in developing educational programs, training materials, and leading instructional sessions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective knowledge dissemination and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, public health principles, and evidence-based practices.
- Experience in evaluating program effectiveness and analyzing educational needs to improve performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is required; a teaching certificate in nursing education is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or equivalent are highly desirable.
