Overview

The Clinical Research Coordinator 2 (CRC2) is responsible for managing and coordinating seven of approximately 55 ongoing clinical trials, Phases I-IV, in the Dept. of Neurology, primarily in the disease states of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, and Parkinson’s Disease. The CRC2 learns the schedule of assessments for each trial, coordinates each visit, conducts the entire study visit, ensures protocol adherence, maintains patient confidentiality, and facilitates communication across ancillary departments such as Radiology, CRU, and Cardiology.

Responsibilities

The CRC2:
• Manages 7 MS studies at Georgetown University Hospital Dept. of Neurology; spends 5 days per week onsite.
• Maintains accurate OnCore/CTMS data entry and adverse event reporting.
• Handles regulatory maintenance and ongoing training requirements.
• Responds to patient inquiries within 24 hours, facilitates communication between patients and PIs, and schedules and reschedules visits.
• Coordinates with sponsors, the Associate Director, and other departmental stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • At least three years of experience in a clinical setting with direct patient interaction.
  • Current CITI Group 1 Biomedical, HIPAA, and IATA Training.
  • Experience handling human biological specimens, operating centrifuge, and shipping laboratory samples.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience accessing and reading patient medical records and knowledge of medical care operations and regulations.
  • Ability to measure vital signs, administer EKGs, perform PFTs, and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, able to follow directions and work respectfully in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with patients, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Committed to providing exceptional service, demonstrating moral and ethical responsibility, and maintaining professionalism.

Pay Range

$44,022.00 – $73,406.80
