Role: DIRO Action Officer 2 ( supporting the CMO) FTE: 1 LOE: 100% Clearance:
Public Trust (required) Minimum degree:
Bachelor's degree Remote delivery: on- site in Washington D.C.; potential ad-hoc travel as needed
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Strategic Support:
* Assist the CMO/Senior Advisor in developing, implementing, and tracking strategic priorities and initiatives
* Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for high-level meetings and engagements
* Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and policy development
* Operational Coordination:
* Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external engagements
* Track action items, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and follow-up
* Serve as a liaison between the CMO/Senior Advisor and other ARPA-H teams, government agencies, and external partners
* Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
* Draft correspondence, talking points, and communications on behalf of the CMO/Senior Advisor
* Facilitate information flow and ensure alignment across teams and projects
* Support outreach and engagement activities with key stakeholders, including federal agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners
* Project Management:
* Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CMO/Senior Advisor
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend solutions to overcome obstacles Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment (government, healthcare, research, or consulting preferred)
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity Preferred Requirements:
* Advanced degree in public health, biomedical sciences, health policy, or related field preferred
* Experience supporting senior executives or government officials is highly desirable
* Familiarity with biomedical research, health innovation, or federal health agencies is a plus
* Working in a start-up environment is a plus
