Ultrasound Technologist - PRN

General Summary of Position

Med Star Health is looking for a day shift PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital - Ob/Gyn-Maternal Fetal Medicine.

The Ultrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non‑stress tests and AFI's. Assists with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures.

• Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound exams utilizing different scanning modalities as required by the patient’s condition and/or examination requested.
• Evaluates images for quality. Photographs appropriate images utilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians.
• Enters data to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursing staff and schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly.
• May assist in training and education of patients, employees, physicians, students and/or other healthcare professionals.
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. May be responsible for or assist in control inventory and purchasing of supplies for assigned area.

• High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered or successful completion of certification within 180 Days.

This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $59.26
