Summary
Under the direction of the department director, provides quality speech pathology services through evaluation of patients and provides the prescribed treatment to restore function and prevent disability.
ScopeSpeech language pathologist with the ability to cover acute and outpatient clinical areas, adult and pediatric ages. Availability 1–2 days per week and a minimum of 1 weekend per month plus coverage of 1 holiday annually. Primary needs are in the acute setting and primary for adults. Would consider a candidate working on the certificate of clinical competency if they have had student clinicals in an acute care setting and have weekend availability at least 1 weekend per month or more.
Experience2 years hospital experience preferred.
Special SkillsStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
License / CertRequired:
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), SLP (Speech Language Pathologist).
Required:
Masters - Speech Language Pathology.
