Med Star Health is looking for a Vascular Technologist to join our team at Med Star Washington Hospital Center.

As a Vascular Tech, I assist Manager and Medical Director in coordinating daily activities of the vascular laboratory, including delegating duties and assisting in evaluating the performance of more junior lab personnel. I provide training/orientation for new staff as required and perform the full range of duties of a staff Non‑Invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory Technician.

• Assists leadership in managing daily activities, training new staff, and evaluating team performance within the vascular lab.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient testing schedules, ensuring patient stability for transport and timely response to emergencies.
• Performs a wide range of vascular diagnostic tests both in‑lab and at various patient care sites, while collecting and managing patient data for clinical and research use.
• Calibrates, tests, and maintains lab equipment; oversees inventory and supply ordering to ensure smooth lab functionality.
• Provides preliminary test results, prepares documentation for patient records, supports research efforts, and manages timesheets in the absence of leadership.

• Completion of an ARDMS recognized school in vascular technology, with knowledge of symptomatology, the disease process, anatomy, and medical terminology (required).
• 1–2 years of progressively more responsible job‑related experience in a non‑invasive vascular laboratory performing vascular procedures. Work experience can be substituted for new graduates with at least one year internship experience (required).

This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52.
