Health Educator - Northeast Region

Overview

Labcorp is a leading provider of biometric testing services, population health, and comprehensive workforce wellness strategies. These services are performed by a network of Labcorp personnel located throughout the country.

Labcorp is seeking medical professionals to provide testing services e hired, staff can assign themselves to events in their area using our scheduling system. We provide pre‑event comprehensive training on LES protocols. Testing services include biometric screenings, COVID‑19 PCR testing, COVID‑19 point‑of‑care antigen testing, and temperature checks. Staff are responsible for the successful setup, execution, and breakdown of events while delivering exceptional customer service to participants.

• Review and explain participants’ screening results (height, weight, BMI, body fat percentage, waist measurement, blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and glucose).
• Provide brief interventions aimed at helping participants understand actionable health behaviors appropriate to their situation.
• Offer appropriate health recommendations to participants as needed.
• Keep records of interactions with screening participants as directed by Labcorp Program Manager.
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

• Certified Registered Dietitian with experience in health psychology and motivational interviewing.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Effective communication with participants of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Adherence to accepted medical guidelines/practices for health education.
• Friendly, professional demeanor.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement and employee stock purchase plan.
