Cardiac Monitor Tech – Be the Heart of Medically Complex Care
Per Diem – Shifts Available:
Nights 7p-7:30a. Rate of pay: $19 per hour (plus shift differentials as applicable).

The Cardiac Monitor Tech recognizes normal cardiac rhythm patterns and monitors heart rhythms of patients to detect abnormal variances using telemetry equipment. Reviews patient information to determine current rhythm patterns and prior variances. Observes the cardiac monitor screen and responds to alarms to identify abnormal variations in heart rhythm. Also assists the unit with administrative duties.
Requirements- Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an approved Monitor Technician Program. Formal ECG or dysrhythmia class with a minimum of 20 hours’ practicum required.
- Licenses/Certification: BLS required. ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Recent monitor technician experience required and must pass rhythm recognition exam with a minimum passing score of 80%.
- Safety: Safety Sensitive-Designated Positions
Salary/Wage Range: Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
