Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and 2 years of recent L&D experience.

Job Details

• Position is in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit,

• Cares for pregnant patients 17 weeks gestation and beyond, including laboring and scheduled procedures,

• Handles admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries including vaginal and C-section births,

• Common equipment includes fetal monitors; documentation is done in Cerner and Fetalink,

• Required to work three 12-hour day shifts per week,

• One on-call shift required per week,

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; no pending licenses accepted,

• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• NRP and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in a US hospital required,

• Experience with labor and postpartum care preferred,

• Ability to provide two manager or supervisor references, including one from the most recent employer,

• US Social Security Number required for consideration,

• Experience with Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems preferred,

Additional Information

• Will be responsible for caring for females of childbearing age, including triaging and managing complicated cases,

• May participate in pre-op preparations, external cephalic versions, and cerclage as needed,

• Must comply with CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) requirements mandated by the position,

• AHA certifications only are accepted,

• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered,
