Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and intermediate fetal monitoring skills.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit,

• Caring for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation, including laboring, scheduled procedures, and triage,

• Perform admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, vaginal and C-section deliveries,

• Utilize fetal monitors and Fetalink documentation systems,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• Scheduled for 3 night shifts per week, each 12 hours,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license required,

• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required (AHA only),

• Intermediate AWHONN electronic fetal monitoring certification required,

• CPI certification mandated for the position,

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in a US hospital required,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility,

Additional Information

• Patient population includes females of childbearing age with a range of obstetric needs,

• Daily tasks include monitoring, assisting with deliveries, and documenting care,

• Two manager or supervisor references preferred verifying recent experience,

• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required,

• Scrub color or dress code requirements may apply,
